This is my submission for the VBU Self Portrait Contest [link]

First off, why is it called Synn? beats me i'm somewhat of a spontanious person, and as i didnt have a name for the piece right up until i came to this section of submission First word that came to my head becomes the title of the artwork, and low and behold, synn it is.

Just a little insight into the work that went into this: done in Illustrator CS2, used brushes alot...hehe define irony...using a vector program to create quasi-pixel style art. Dont ask me whats my fascination with brushes in Illustrator, it just...is... Choice of colours still remain somewhat of a mystery to me, since drabby colours arnt really my thing. When i started off with this, i had a cool idea, then that idea kinda went out to take a leak and never came back I've tried to explain the choice of colours to anyone who bothered watching over my shoulder, but even aloud to myself meant nothing at all. So blah...it just happened...

Was browsing everyone's submission for this contest, and saw how vector means using a vector program to achieve a clean, near-comic style look. Is Vector such that it must be defined by that one particular look? The clean lines, the clear-cut colours, sharp contrast? Oh well, guess i missed that train

Wish i could have done more with this, but time is nobody's bitch but its own so <sigh> respect
